SEPTEMBER!

So many individuals believe September is the start of a new calendar year, the summer is over, it is time to stop enjoying your vacation and get back to work! For me, the September long-weekend here in Canada marks my BIRTHDAY! I know that things are going to kick off pretty quickly after my cupcakes, cappuccinos and family celebrations- but I am always excited for this new start, launched by  yours truly and her birthday! 

Here we go again with another round of 365 QUESTIONS FOR A BETTER YOU

244. What’s your view on self-love?
How can you expect someone to love you if you cannot love yourself. Everything in my mind comes from learning to love yourself, that is what attracts other to love you too! It took me a long time to learn what I love about myself, but once you can do that anything seems possible.

245. How do you deal with distractions?
Depends on what the distraction is. As long as it is healthy I think it is okay, your mind will always wander, if just means you dream. 

246. How hard is it for you to say “no”?
Once again, depends on what I am saying no to. If it is for someone or a good cause I absolutely struggle, but if it is something that I know I do not want to do my internal voice usually is screaming. 

247. What do you think about multitasking?
A necessity in my mind. So many things are constantly happening all at once. For example, today is my birthday and it is reading 11:25PM on my clock, I know I have a bit of time left, but I have to be up in 5 hours so my family can take me sister to the airport to catch her flight, I am still forgetting to respond to all of the birthday wishes I have received- so if you are reading this and wished me happy birthday, thank you! Also, I am budgeting my school year and planning meetings for next week,

I do not have a strict schedule just yet until classes start in a week and a bit bit even when I am in school I am always making sure to multitask- it keeps me on my toes and ensures that I am productive at all times. 

248. Do you suffer from information overload?
Information Overload... I would not say so, unless it is extremely emotional information then possibly. I need to take a moment to step back and re-evaluate the information if it is super personal so that I do not get emotional charged about the topic and give an irrational and super emotional response. 

249. Have you ever had a burnout?
Yes. For most of August I was mentally, physically and emotionally drained. I tried to do as much as I could as Miss Intercontinental Canada and it was amazing, I do not regret a second of it, but my body definitely need a much needed break and recharge again. It felt like I had no energy a couple of days, my family was amazing and said I did need to recharge and that is exactly what I did before I knew I would be doing just as hard once my fall semester starts. 

250. How frequently do you exercise?
Not often enough. But that is absolutely changing this week! 

251. Is there anything you can’t live without?
My family means more to me than anything in this world. Do you remember you were little and your friends would ask what your greatest fear was- sharks, snakes, rats, mice etc.,- mine was losing a loved one. My family has such an unconditional love for each other. We are too close sometimes but we are there for each other no matter what. 

252. Cleaning or ironing?
Cleaning/Organization.

253. Bungee jumping or parachuting?
I kind of what to try both, but I am not going to lie- I would be so nervous.

254. How do you feel when you take a break from work?
Odd. I love what I have been able to do for the last year or so, but it will be interesting when I have a standard job again come this fall. 

255. Where do you have your meals?
Usually on the main floor of my house, or at my desk when I am working. 

256. How many meals do you have per day?
2 and snacks in between. 

257. Do you have a bedtime ritual?
I'll put on my pJs, fill up my water bottle, crawl into bed and go over what I want to do tomorrow, list off a few things that I was really grateful for that day, curl up with one too many blankets and go over my emails that I may have missed. 

258. How many cups of coffee do you drink during the day?
On average I would say 4 as of right now. I work from home which I do love. I spend a lot of time at my desk and I will have a cup when I start organization my day,  when I am answering emails and responding to comments on my social media, or planning travel and trips. Coffee and tea, hot beverages are kind of a comfort or reward for me. Occasionally, I do need caffeine to perk me up.

259. What’s bothering you right now?
A few big things- but that is okay because you cannot have the good without bad, right?

260. What changes would you like to see in your life?
I would love to work on my overall health, in August I really took advantage on the concept of summer to recover and recuperate after this past year. I need to start working on my overall fitness and healthy eating.

261. What was your latest success?
Realizing the influence and the effect that I had apparently. I did realize the reach that I had during my time as Miss Intercontinental Canada. I knew what I hoped to accomplish, but realistically I did not know that it was achievable from a girl in Alberta.  I made a conscious effort to do as much as I physically and mentally could with my platform and hoped positive change would be around me at all times and I could inspire those around me too. 

262. How do you feel about last-minute changes?
Not a huge fan when it involves a lot of pre-planning, but I can be flexible. 

263. Something that gave you joy this week.
The effort that my family and friends went to making sure my 24th birthday was as amazing as it could possibly be in my mind. All of them know I don't like to celebrate my birthday exactly, but they kept that in mind when still making it all about me with some of my favourite things. 

264. What are you wearing right now?
Aritiza blouse and sweatpants. 

265. Fast or slow food?
I might change this one a bit and say good food.

266. Do you experience any chronic pain?
Thankfully, no chronic pain for me! 

 

267. What’s on your Vision Board?
When I think about it, I do not have a physical vision board. If I look at the reflection of my life on social media, on Facebook, Instagram, this Blog or on YouTube I can subtly see my goals and aspiration and dreams tied into everything. My social media is a constant reminder of what I dream of and I am blessed everything that comes my way good or bad, because it teaches me a meaningful life lesson. Overall, my social media is my vision board theoretically.  

268. What’s your favorite art form?
I don't know if I dreamed this or not, but I remember going to the theater- I do not know if it was a play or the ballet. Having gone to the theater with family, it is something special to me! 

269. How do you define your priorities?
Very carefully. Those who matter to me will always come first. I value my education and work. Hobbies are nice and keep you interesting, but family always first. 

270. Economic, business or first class?
When I fly I can afford economy, but I would never turn down an upgrade. 

271. What household chore you dislike the most?
Taking dishes out of the sink that have cold dirty dish water. 

272. Favorite pastime.
Having a cup of tea and reading a book. 

273. What qualities are important in a role model?
